Tuesday, July 14, 2026: Thursdays Come at Morning by Lee Cataluna
Two brokenhearted men meet and form a connection while visiting the graves of their loved ones. Howard has returned home to Honolulu from NYC to be caregiver to his dying father, a man who never accepted him. Sam has recently lost his husband. The two face the question of how to live fully when your best days seem to be behind you, but you realize you still have love to give.
Tuesday, July 21, 2026: The End of Black Excellence by Chris Webb
The End of Black Excellence follows a man who just may be the first Black person born without “Black excellence.” In his attempt to prove this theory wrong, he puts on an (ever-failing) solo show to prove his worth, value, and connection with the elusive excellence that he craves.
Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Fog Woman by Vera Starbard
The play draws heavily from the foundational Tlingit legend of Raven and Fog Woman. In this traditional story, the mythological trickster Raven marries a beautiful, mystical woman who emerges from the fog. She possesses magical abilities, washing her hands in a basket to bring the village an abundance of salmon. However, Raven eventually mistreats her. In her anger and sorrow, she returns to the sea and turns back into mist. Starbard’s adaptation centers these traditional elements within an advocacy framework to explore issues of abuse, respect, and community strength.
