Theresa M. Davis, a.k.a. Lady T, is an Artist-Educator in 3-D (Dramaturg-Deviser-Director). In 2021, Theresa joined the Contemporary American Theater Festival as Associate Artistic Director, where she wholeheartedly supports the values of Fearless art, Inclusivity, and Community. As a Dramaturg, Theresa has collaborated with Geva Theatre, The Working Theater, Penumbra Theatre, and CATF. Tenured at three different institutions, Theresa has taught at Kalamazoo College, West Virginia University, and the University of Virginia, where she joined the faculty as an Associate Professor of Cross Cultural Performance. As a director, she has enjoyed Guest Artist residencies at Macalester College, and Purdue University. In 2019, she directed Priyanka Shetty’s The Elephant in the Room for the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage; and productions at 59E59 and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2022).
